The Knobbler April 15th 2018

Yes it’s back again and we would really like to get 50 riders this time. Same fantastic route. This time raising some money to help fund a powered wheel chair Bekki  Marsh. Bekki is the daughter of Ian who has done the Knobbler on several occasions and was unlucky last year to take a nasty fall and injure his shoulder badly.  We are asking a minimum £30 donation from participants. It’s a guided group ride. There are some seriously tough climbs, so only enter if you are experienced and fit enough to cope with a demanding 60km route. We have a support vehicle to carry some of your kit/ food and spares, there will be plenty of food and drinks breaks, cakes etc supplied by friends and us.

You will need to enter in the shop so we have all the personal info we need, and entry Donations can be made on the “” remember to leave your name so we know who you are. Entry forms are downloadable below or in the shop and still need to be completed and returned to us!!!

Alternatively download the entry form and get the complete one to us – knobbler entry form 2018 – but check with us that there are still places. Then donate online leaving your name so we know it’s you!

Weekly guided rides  come day, night, shine or rain!! Join us.

Spec is higher than the mark 1 model, improvements are XT 11 speed rear mech (with 10 speed 11/42 cassette), SLX brakes and shifter, DT 80mm rims.  With the same amazing Fatsno Hope hubs in blue. AND we have managed to take £200 of the asking price. I can’t imagine there are any other carbon fatties out there that can match this. Overall weight is just 12kg. MBR magazine meets Knobblies

rachael and anna photoSo great to see the feature in MBR this month (October 14) Rachael Walker of Hope and Anna Glowinski, presenter from the Cycle Show persuaded us to give them a taste of the area, truth be told we didn’t take much persuading really! When we heard they were doing a feature on Devon’s best trails we were more than happy to oblige. They met us at the usual time and place and joined us in our weekly homage to ‘Woodbury Common’. Needless to say they were very suprised by the quality of the riding we have here right on the door step. Before they called us they had tried a couple of promising trails but they led no where, it really is one of those places where having a guide is the best option. Thanks ladies, the pleasure was all ours.

24hr Racing, if you have ever fancied it just do it, you won’t regret.

Visit the official event website (sorry link not working for some reason). Why not get  pair together, or a mixed team. It’s a really fun event and I strongly recommend you have a go!!

Team racing for 24hrs, it’s nuts but great fun. Ask about joining one of Knobblies teams,  or enter your own of  4 or 5. We generally have enough people for 2 for 3 teams most years!! Some teams will want to race other just have a laugh and complete the challenge. If you want to get involved please get in touch.
