No guided rides are planned at the moment - but there is a charity of-road challenge on september 19th
Rides will be led by a member of staff, we hope to continue rides throughout the year. As numbers build the groups may be divided according to experience and fitness, but initially the aim to get riders out there who perhaps don't want to ride alone or would like the reassurance of a guide and also the technical back up should you develop a problem. NOTE - Helmets compulsory if you want to come!! For the benefit of the group we can only take over 14's at present, and under 16's need to be accompanied, this is in case they have to turn back and need help. Once we are happy that youngsters can cope then we will be happy to take them unaccompanied with parental consent. If you would like to come along be aware that we are riding over Woodbury Common and it is hilly, so a reasonable level of fitness is needed even for novice riders, perhaps do some 20 mile road rides with plenty of hills first to build up a bit of stamina. The safety and mechanical function of your bike is your responsibility, please don't come if it is not up to the job, knobblies bike shop will happily look over it to give it the all clear, or otherwise if you are in any doubt. Safety is important to us and we will not be able to take you on a ride unless you have a proper well fitting bike helmet! For more information on the trails call us or go to: AFAN FOREST PARK and GLYNCORRWG PONDS
mail us if you want to be contacted and added to the ride list, (if we haven't ridden with you before let us know a bit about your cycling experience). We do have limited numbers for each guide normally a maximun of 10 people, so as not to cause too much commotion whilst going over the common.
