Only a summary of our products is here, as it really would make for boring reading otherwise.
KONA
Designed in Canada, the makers of this brilliant range of bikes have produced something that works fantastically well in UK conditions, which are similar to those found in thier birth place. They are no fancy bits just tried and tested and loved designs. Look at the whole range on the web site www.konaworld.uk.com
ORANGE
The Orange range is a very niche product. Only 2500 bikes are sold world wide each year. The bikes are hand built right here in the UK, for dual suspension they use a single pivot design which is perfect for UK trail conditions, it is laterally very stiff, low in wieght and very low maintenance. With the continued improvement in rear shock design issues with bobbing, (especially on the long travel designs which are now flooding the market) are consigned to the bin. A recent frame test in the Feb issue of "what mountain bike" the Orange 5 was the only single pivot on test and beat of the Ellsworth and Turner, but was given joint honours 10/10 with the Cove. The hard tail range is packed with the type of value you don't generally asociate with smaller manufacterers. Check out the custom colour options. www.orangebikes.co.uk
GIANT
In contrast to Orange Giant are the worlds largest manufacturer of bikes, there is a massive range of models, so something to suit every purse and style of riding. Giant make their own frames rather than have a factory do it for them. This means they are able to produce high quality light wieght frames at great prices. www.giant-bicycles.co.uk - new trance, trance X, and reign in the shop now for hire, a great way to demo a bike properly, with any hire costs being refunded if one of the models is bought £27 / day plus returnable deposit.

ROHLOFF SPEEDHUB 500/14 I've heard it said that the Rohloff hub is mainly used by discerning bike shop owners and real enthusiasts, Chris the boss has one, he has been using it now for 5 years, it does away with most of the external gearing of the conventional derrailleur system. You get 14 gears in the rear hub, all sequential so no overlap and waste of gears, they increase by 13% as you change from one to the next, and you get the same range as on a standard bike. They are good for many thousands of km of riding in really harsh environments, and mostly all you have to do is change the oil every so often. Demo available on Chris' bike if you are interested. Cost around £1000 to retro fit to a full suspension bike, (a bit cheaper for some hard tails), so not cheap but it takes away those winter riding frustrations of eternal gear problems of all types, i.e. suck, slip, coming off, last min gear changes, gear indexing issues are all consigned to the bin, and v v v v low maintenance.
STANS NO TUBES - is a tubeless system which allows you to use your normal tyre and wheel, it relies on a rubber rim seal and a silicone based sealant (stays fluid), within the tyre cavity to seal any holes. It's £45 ish, so sounds a lot but sooo much cheaper than converting to a tubeless wheel set. Check out the web site on the link above it's very impressive. Chris the boss has been testing it and is very happy and smug when the others get flats.
